“I cannot imagine a greater motivation to pray than that God enjoys having me in His presence. He enjoys my company. He delights in listening to me! He doesn’t get bored with my repeated requests. He doesn’t moralize me if I get it wrong in what I ask for. He doesn’t laugh at me if I put out silly, even impertinent, requests. He never makes me feel stupid. There is no rejection, only total acceptance. ”
Prayer on the Go
Currently it’s an email team of individuals who feel deeply for the needs of the TBC family and it’s connections and agree to pray regularly for these needs. The Prayer team leader sends out regular emails with prayer concerns, answers to prayer, prayer updates and the team often responds with written prayers and encouragements.
This team feels called to meet regularly to pray for your congregation, its needs, and the needs of its members. They all feel it’s important to pray often, pray regularly, and pray with others who understand the need for prayer. We all want to leave room for God’s hand in all that we do but don’t sit around doing nothing and use the gifts God has given to each of us. We have had special prayer events in the past and would like to do more in the future.
